This month's Employee Owner Spotlight features Jay - the Store Leader of our Madison, WI location. ____________________________________________________________________ I have been an Employee Owner at Kesslers for 22 years. I love spearing fish with my two sons Jordan and Nolan while snorkeling off the coast of Sicily. Q. What's one fun memory at Kesslers that you will always remember? A. I will never forget the day Brett Sime buttoned himself on accident to our refrigerator in a way that he had to call for help to be released. Q. Why do you love working for Kesslers? A. I love meeting people, hearing their "How they met" and helping them find the diamond that will symbolize their relationship for the rest of their life. Q. What do you feel is the biggest benefit of working for an employee owned company? A. I think the biggest benefit of working for an employee-owned company is the sense of ownership and alignment of interests it fosters among all of us. Q. Do you have a favorite client story? A. I have hundreds of favorites... and as I sit here and think, I cannot pick just one to say it was my favorite. As I begin writing one, then another comes to mind... Q. How has this job helped you grow professionally? A. Well...Working in this role has been instrumental in my professional growth in several ways. Skill Development: I've honed my skills in sales, which has not only made me more proficient but also more versatile in handling various aspects of diamond jewelry sales. Problem-Solving: Dealing with tough clients has sharpened my ability to analyze situations and come up with effective solutions all while finding a win/win for everyone. Communication: I've greatly improved my communication skills by regularly interacting with clients and team members. This includes presenting ideas, negotiating, and resolving conflicts, but more importantly learning why seeking first to understand before being understood is so vitally important. Leadership: In my life at Kesslers, I've had the opportunity to take on a leadership role, where I've learned to motivate my team and achieve collective goals. I continue to learn in this role and find so much pleasure watching and learning how the business grows. Adaptability: Jewelry/Diamond sales can be challenging at times, requiring me to stay updated with fashion trends and new up and coming products for example Lab grown diamonds or worldwide viruses. This has taught me to adapt quickly to changes and embrace new challenges. Overall, this job has provided me with a robust platform to learn, grow, and contribute effectively within Kesslers, preparing me for future challenges and opportunities in my career. __________________________________ Thank you, Jay, for sharing for the Kesslers #EmployeeOwnerSpotlight! 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We had the honor of welcoming State Representative Paul Melotik to our company yesterday for a visit to discuss employee ownership and the incredible benefits it brings to our employees and our community. It was inspiring to see our team's enthusiasm for employee ownership and hear them share their perspective on this amazing benefit. We appreciated the opportunity to show off our dazzling Germantown store, our incredible goldsmith shop, and our hard working operations team. A huge thank you to Rep. Melotik and his assistant, Nathan Anfinson, for taking the time to visit us and learn more about ESOPs. We love our ESOP! #employeeownership #ESOP #wealthbuilding

Recently the Wisconsin Chapter of The ESOP Association had an Advocacy Day where over 40 participants from WI employee-owned companies visited over 130 offices at the Capitol in Madison, WI. Anna Koskey, our HR Manager, was a participant in this event and was able to share with state elected officials why employee-ownership is SO important to us and left behind packets of information and statistics to build awareness about the benefits of employee-owned businesses. We love our ESOP! #employeeowned #ESOP

🎉 What an amazing weekend at American Family Field! Our Employee Owners gathered for the Annual Shareholder's Meeting to celebrate our 2023 accomplishments and gear up for an exciting year ahead. 🌟 We had the incredible honor of hosting Lulu, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin's 8000th Wish Recipient, who wowed us with her unforgettable performance of "Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend." 💎✨ Plus, we got a sneak peek at some awesome new tech from one of our most dedicated vendor partners. It was truly a day to remember, and we’re already counting down to next year’s meeting! #employeeowners #shareholders

This month's Employee Owner Spotlight features Jordyn Moore - A Customer Service Specialist at our Grandville, MI location. ____________________________________________________________________ I have been an Employee Owner at Kesslers for about 2.5 years. I love my cats, Merlin and Xena! I talk to them like they're people and they can understand what I'm saying. Q. What's one fun memory at Kesslers that you will always remember? A. We have a client who breeds dogs and brings the puppies into our location to help socialize them. I did my work in the office one-armed that day because I was cradling a tiny sleeping puppy with the other. Q. Why do you love working for Kesslers? A. I love being a part of the big moments in someone's life. Engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, even gifts given in memory of a loved one can be such joyful times, and I feel so privileged to be privy to the powerful emotions they experience. Q. What do you feel is the biggest benefit of working for an employee owned company? A. What I do matters, and what I do is known. I've worked for larger retailers where the C-suite execs are these entities to be fearful of, but it's so different to work where the president and CEO not only knows my name but has recognized my achievements. Q. Do you have a favorite client story? A. I had worked with a client who had recently moved out of state and was in town visiting family for a couple days. his wife had JUST had a baby and they had JUST purchased a house, and he wanted to do something for her because she'd had so much on her plate recently. He had her ring with him to be cleaned while in town, and he decided he wanted to surprise her with an upgrade of her center stone. We decided to be sneaky, so I made a fake repair and he told her some of her stones were loose, so we would have to keep the ring for a week. In that time, we set her new diamond - double the size of her previous diamond! The client had already gone home, so I mailed the new ring to them with a card congratulating them on all their recent accomplishments and telling her I hoped she loved her ring! Q. How has this job helped you grow professionally? A. I have gained so much knowledge! I'd never worked with jewelry before Kesslers, and I'm very proud of the knowledge base I have now. My customer service skills have been sharpened, and I've improved my communication skills as well. __________________________________ Thank you, Jordyn, for sharing for Kesslers #EmployeeOwnerSpotlight!

I am the middle child of five kids, and I have one of every kind of sibling (older brother, older sister, younger brother, younger sister). Q. What's one fun memory at Kesslers that you will always remember? A. I laughed so hard once I decided it was safe to open them. Q. Why do you love working for Kesslers? A. Being an employee owner at Kesslers is priceless! Kesslers culture is rooted in people who care for others, which carries over into every aspect of what we do. Q. What do you feel is the biggest benefit of working for an employee owned company? A.
