Highlighting a Special Day of Safety and Training! Yesterday, KEVCO Building Services, Inc.. was thrilled to host an impactful event with the International Window Cleaning Association and the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service -Technical Rescue Division. The IWCA's Michael Draper led an informative classroom training session, and a live session with the help of Kevco's own Danny Salazar demonstrating to the Technical Rescue Team the type of equipment we use and how window cleaners perform our services using rope descent systems. This was not something the Fire Department had been exposed to before, and they found it very impactful. Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to Ronda Hurbanek at Banyan Street Capital for graciously providing us with space at their property for this event. Recently, we participated in the annual “Spring Fling” at Lone Oak Brewery, hosted by the RECN within the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce an organization Kevco has been involved with for several years. Each year, this event provides a wonderful opportunity for many great companies to come together, network, and support a fantastic cause. This year’s organization was The EVAN Foundation based in Germantown, which focuses on supporting the childhood cancer community. We really enjoyed hearing about the Treats and Treasure carts that comes around weekly at Children’s Hospital (and 18 more around the country) to make the kids days brighter. We were grateful to be part of this event, and together, our group raised over $8,000! A big thank you to everyone who helped put this together and made it such a success. This weekend in DC, the Kevco team truly outdid themselves, delivering exceptional results on a demanding project with precision and dedication. We mobilized our resources and expertise to address the unique needs of our client. This project was far from straightforward, necessitating a collective effort from every member of our team to achieve success. Our comprehensive approach included: ✔ Employing an 95 foot atrium lift, brought in specially from Chicago, for detailed atrium cleaning. ✔ Utilizing scissor lifts to navigate challenging heights. ✔ Deploying several experienced crews equipped for rope descent services for the building's exterior. ✔ Meet a stringent weekend deadline. This year’s Annual Safety Kickoff was a reaffirmation of one of our core values: SAFETY. We hosted two certified International Window Cleaning Association instructors who brought a wealth of knowledge to our crews.
