🌟 Giving Back with Gratitude in San Antonio 🌟 Earlier this summer, our San Antonio team had the honor of volunteering at The Army Residence Community, where we spent time with some incredible veterans, hearing their remarkable stories. Lou Reyes had the privilege of speaking with Colonel Schulz, a humble and honest man who served in the Army for 27 years. Despite his impressive achievements, including a degree from Harvard, he focused on the lives he couldn't save rather than his accolades. Lou was deeply moved by their conversation and even had the solemn task of helping Colonel Schulz select the uniform he wishes to be buried in. It's a powerful reminder that we often gain more from giving than we could ever imagine. Meanwhile, Russ connected with a veteran who graduated from Texas A&M back in 1954, when it was still known as The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas. This small detail highlighted the deep roots of tradition and change over the years. Our time spent with these veterans was truly enriching. Kindful brought the Olympic spirit to life by hosting Opening Ceremony parties across dozens of communities statewide! At Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Community, residents embraced the excitement with fun-filled events like: 👉 Javelin Toss (with a pool noodle) 👉 Wheelchair Races (unassisted and assisted) 👉Gymnastics (unraveling a roll of crepe paper ribbon) The highlight was the incredible camaraderie as everyone cheered each other on, filling the community with infectious Olympic energy.
