We were proud to support the Network of Behavioral Healthcare Providers' Annual Luncheon at the beautiful Houston Botanic Gardens. There were numerous organizations with missions related to mental health support, with over 150 attendees in total. Our staff enjoyed the opportunity to hear representative Ann Johnson speak passionately about her experience as a public defender and how that motivated her to become a state representative. We are always here to support our most vulnerable community members. If you or someone you know needs a no-cost assessment, please contact our intake department at 281-404-1001. We are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

We offer a variety of treatment options for children, teens, and adults through our Branches Kingwood outpatient services. These programs are designed to address the psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency issues in individuals who are stable enough to live at home during treatment. Just like our inpatient programs, our IOP and PHP outpatient programs equip patients with the skills they need to improve mental health conditions back in their homes and communities. Our Director of Business Development, Monica Garcia, was out on Saturday supporting Splendora ISD's Mental Wellness Fair and Fun Run. It was a great day of fellowship and education. We also met other agencies whose missions align with our own, such as Mosaics of Mercy. We always enjoy supporting community events! If you have an event you would like for us to attend, please contact Monica Garcia at Monica.Garcia4@uhsinc.com, or call her at 832-493-8604.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope, and share vital information to people affected by suicide. Our goal is to ensure that individuals, friends, and families have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help. If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988, or start a chat at 988Lifeline.org. The 988 Suicide and Crisis hotline will connect you with a trained crisis counselor who can help. #SPM24 #BeThere

Mental health disorders can impact men and women differently. Some mental health disorders can be more common in women, such as depression and anxiety. Our new Exclusively Women Program allows our female patients to connect with other women who may be struggling with the same mental health issues.
