Recently, we were privileged to host Mayor Whitmire at our Respite, Rehabilitation, and Re-Entry Center, where we discussed ways to strengthen Harris County's mental health and homelessness systems. Last week, a delegation from Manitoba, Canada visited our Respite, Rehabilitation, and Re-Entry Center to learn more about our communities' model for tackling homelessness, including mental health diversion. The programs at this location, such as our Jail Diversion program, provide peer support and skills training to reduce incarceration and homelessness rates. Sharing our mission with other cities, states, and even countries creates a ripple effect of positive change and collaboration. Thank you for making the trip down to Texas!
