Helping businesses grow in the Dutch and DACH Markets at Kinsta®

When searching for a web host, it's easy to be swayed by attractive pricing, sleek dashboards, and promises of speed. But remember: never forget security and stability. Many providers offer affordable hosting, often relying on shared environments. While convenient, shared hosting can introduce significant security and stability risks, especially for #WordPress sites. A better solution? Isolated software containers. This modern hosting solution provides robust security and stability, avoiding the risks associated with shared environments. Make sure your hosting provider guarantees real protection, not just affordability. #WebHosting #CyberSecurity #WebsiteSecurity https://lnkd.in/eSNJANuW

So your website is loading much faster now. Track these metrics to measure its impact on your revenue ⬇️ ✅ Bounce rate. Keep an eye on your bounce rate in Google Analytics. A drop here means users are sticking around longer after your speed upgrades. ✅ Conversion rate. Track how many visitors are converting (like making a purchase or signing up). Faster sites make users more likely to take action. ✅ SEO rankings. Faster sites tend to rank higher on Google. Tools like Ahrefs or Google Search Console can show if your search rankings improve after the changes. If you spot a connection between faster load times and improved revenue or conversions, you’re on the right track! Check out Joel Olawanle's blog post to learn more. Link in the comments! ↓

With a fast-loading site, users are much more likely to stay engaged. This gives you time to turn visits into conversions. On the flip side... slow sites cost you BIG! ⬇️ A one-second delay in loading time can result in users giving up and leaving, meaning fewer sales or fewer leads for you. 😬 For example, Amazon found that a 100-millisecond delay (which is just a fraction of a second) could cost them 1% in sales. For large businesses, that’s a huge loss! 💡 Joel Olawanle shares proven strategies to speed up your WordPress site. Link in the comments.

Connecting with developers and agencies to help you build amazing WordPress sites | Community at Kinsta

Plugins are the best part of WordPress. Plugins are the worst part of WordPress. A defining feature of WordPress from very early on, version 1.2, has been the ability to write and use plugins with any site. If you have a site running on WordPress and you want to add some additional functionality you can access the plugin directory and find something that helps. Want to manage events on the site? No problem. Want to make the site an ecommerce store? No problem. The problem comes up when you have a specific use case and no one has created a plugin that fits. In many cases people see the solution as adding another plugin. They build up a network of plugins that combined get really close to solving the use case. This can lead to a slower site as more plugins tend to use more resources on the server. This also leads to a UI/UX nightmare for the team that needs to use and maintain the site. What plugin does what and where and when? At some point it makes sense to hire a developer to come in and create a custom plugin for your use case. In many cases this time should happen sooner than later. If you are generating any real amount of money with your WordPress site there are probably optimizations that can be made which will help the site run faster for customers, and make it easier for your team to use and maintain it. Today I had a great conversation with Alex Standiford who’s company Novatorius specializes in plugin development. We talk about what has him excited about WordPress and how he works with various clients. If you have a WordPress site it might make sense to reach out to him. Happy friday everyone! I hope you had a great week and have an even better weekend ahead!
