“We’ve heard and observed first-hand the pain points associated with visitor management. Employees unlock with their assigned credentials, but what about scheduled guests?” said Bernie Mehl, CEO of Kisi, on the Terminal Pro announcement. “Now, imagine your team registering a visitor. They send a time-restricted QR code to the visitor’s email. Upon arriving at your front door, the visitor can just scan it at Kisi’s Terminal, and it automatically logs them in Kisi events. One more blindspot covered!” Read the whole announcement to find out more about the Kisi Terminal Pro – https://lnkd.in/dGZd5thk – #accesscontrol #physicalsecurity #accessreader #visitormanagement

While access control systems can vary widely in type and complexity, most consist of similar basic components that can be divided into three groups: User-facing, admin-facing, and infrastructure components. Explore the components and learn all the ins and outs of physical access control in our comprehensive guide: https://lnkd.in/dUKS2_Dd – #accesscontrol #physicalsecurity #accesscomponents

The primary goal of keys, badges, and mobile credentials is the same: To prevent unauthorized access to secured spaces. However, they achieve this goal in different ways. Traditional credentials are physical objects that people have to insert, swipe, tap, or scan to gain entry. Unlike traditional physical credentials, such as fobs and access cards, mobile credentials don’t require property managers, business leaders, or building owners to issue physical items. Instead, they can issue, revoke, and adjust user permissions remotely using a digital dashboard so the users can utilize the mobile device they already have on their person, like a phone or a smartwatch. Read more about the differences between mobile and physical credentials and the types and benefits of mobile credentials in our guide – https://lnkd.in/d3KDPNb4 – #accesscontrol #accesscredentials #mobilecredentials

A piggybacking or tailgating attack is a malicious incident where an unauthorized individual attempts to gain access to a property for nefarious purposes. These types of attacks are often difficult to recognize because they’re subtle. Rather than forcing open a door or breaking a window, the attackers take advantage of people’s carelessness, consideration, or politeness to get past security measures. Discover more about tailgating attacks and what you can do to stop them in our article - https://lnkd.in/dqy-rg7q. – #tailgating #piggybacking #physicalsecurity
