Excited about the future.   Today is the 30th anniversary of the founding of Kissick Construction Company. In late July of 1994, Jim and I set up shop on a folding table and went about the task of finding clients that would hire us. Us – including Brenda Richmond and a core group of team members that believed in us - and off we went, together, to serve clients and build a project or three...   Thirty years later, hundreds of clients served, thousands of paychecks written, and hundreds of individual career growth opportunities realized. Beyond the Kissick team, hundreds of non-profit organizations supported with in-kind work and donations to build stronger communities in all the regions we serve.   Thirty years of Kissick Construction being a leader in the industry across the Midwest, with a strong reputation for providing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.   Jim Kissick would be proud of everyone on the team, and I’m confident he keeps a watch over us all.   As our firm’s Chief Optimist, I’m excited each and every morning to go out and find new projects and to work alongside everyone on our great team – those that have been with the firm for decades and those that just started this year (special shoutout to the fine men and women from 1994 who are still here or are proud KCC retired alumni). Thank you all.   I’m proud of all our senior leaders on the project sites, our skilled men and women builders, and our senior management team’s commitment to the firm.  Our ownership team - David Kissick ,Lloyd Kissick, and me - is positioned well for growth into the future.      At Kissick Construction Company we focus on building infrastructure to grow our region – earthwork, underground utilities, concrete and industrial plant work – but we find our real joy is in building the relationships we treasure long after the projects are done.   Thank you to the Kissick Construction team, our clients and our community. I was honored my team and I were able to attend and sponsor the annual WIN for KC’s Women's Sports Awards in Kansas City. It was fantastic to cheer on Kissick Construction Company, Inc., as they sponsored the "Kissick Construction Game Changer Award," a distinguished award showcasing individuals or groups making a significant impact in supporting and promoting girls' and women's sports beyond the playing field. Kissick is one of the great partners we have helping build our new EV battery facility in De Soto, Kansas. This 60 degree weather has us thinking about college basketball! Since the early 2000's we have enjoyed participating in the NAIA Honorary Coach Program.
