🎉 Celebrating a Milestone: Empowering Future Leaders! 🎓
We are thrilled to share a remarkable achievement from the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation! On September 3rd, we proudly awarded scholarships to 15 new students, bringing the total number of funded students for 2024 to 35. This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to empowering South Florida’s youth, despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors, including South Florida BMW Center, Amerant Bank, James and Valerie Korth Family Foundation, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, and Miami HEAT Charitable Fund. Your support has enabled us to award a total of $150,000 in scholarships, recognizing the academic potential and dedication of these outstanding students.

Additionally, we are proud to award scholarships to five exceptional students who have shown remarkable dedication and promise: Camila G. Sanchez, Cecilia Valdes Brito, Eberth Crux, Serena Saaverda, and Sophia N. Barbeito.
Since 1987, our Foundation has been a beacon of hope for underserved youth in South Florida, providing essential educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities. We are proud to have supported over 500 graduates who are now making significant contributions in various fields, including accounting, teaching, engineering, and more.
Jorge Fernandez, Chairman of the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation, shared his pride: “The Future Leaders through Education Scholarship Program not only provides financial support but also the mentoring and guidance needed to navigate the college journey successfully.
