The Kodiak Driver is ready for whatever happens on the road. Even zombies! Kodiak’s AI-driven perception technologies include the integration of Vision-Language Models (VLMs), which combine visual data with textual information to improve the system’s understanding of complex scenarios. For instance, VLMs enable the Kodiak Driver to recognize and react to unusual situations, like the zombie apocalypse unfolding in a sandstorm at night, even without prior specific training. Happy Halloween!

Kodiak was pleased to welcome the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS) for a tour of our Texas operations, strengthening our partnership for safer highways. Mississippi’s highways are essential freight corridors, with major routes like I-10 and I-20 carrying over 11,000 trucks per day and connecting vital Gulf Coast ports and intermodal hubs. This infrastructure plays a key role in supporting the national economy. We’re proud to work alongside Mississippi DPS and other law enforcement partners to keep these routes safe and efficient for all road users.

Our annual Oktoberfest celebration is a team favorite, and the highlight is always the Stein-holding competition. With arms extended and steins filled, Kodiakers put rarely flexed muscles to the test. The winning times? Over 10 minutes for both the men and women! Think you could do it? Give it a try.

Boosting fleet capacity and predictability. Traditional long-haul trucks average around 100,000 to 110,000 miles per year, typically covering about 500 miles a day. Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks triple that capacity, reaching 250,000 to 300,000 miles annually. This means more goods are moved, maximizing asset utilization and ensuring a predictable, streamlined operation. With fewer out-of-route miles and optimized routes, fleets operating the Kodiak Driver experience a new level of efficiency—helping them stay ahead in the trucking industry. #AutonomousTrucks #Trucking #Logistics #KodiakDriver

Last week, Kodiak’s Daniel Goff testified before the Texas House Transportation Committee, sharing insights from Kodiak’s five years of safe operations in Texas. With a proven safety record, Dan highlighted how autonomous trucks can transform logistics across the state. Working closely with policymakers is essential to ensure these innovations lead to safer roads and a stronger, more efficient transportation system. #AutonomousTrucking #SupplyChainInnovation #FutureOfFreight #KodiakDriver

Since 2022, our partnership with Martin Brower has moved autonomous trucking forward with purpose. Together, we've successfully completed over 800 deliveries across more than 200,000 miles—delivering refrigerated freight safely and always on time. This achievement demonstrates the practical efficiency of Kodiak’s autonomous technology, keeping supply chains running smoothly. By combining the strengths of Kodiak’s autonomous long-haul operations with Martin Brower’s local expertise, we’re optimizing the future of freight, ensuring quick service restaurants receive critical deliveries when they need them. The journey continues. #AutonomousTrucking #SupplyChainInnovation #FutureOfFreight #KodiakDriver

When we started Kodiak, one of the most important conversations we had wasn't just about the technology we wanted to build, but the kind of company we wanted to become. We knew that a company’s culture doesn’t just shape how teams work together – it influences every decision and interaction, both internally and externally. Our collectively shared Kodiak values are the foundation of everything we do: Safety, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork & Diversity, and Trust & Accountability are at the core of our everyday operations. These values aren’t just words on a wall – they are the framework that guides our team’s daily decision-making and long-term strategies. Building cutting-edge autonomous trucking technology is no small feat, but it’s our commitment to these values that ensures we do it the right way. Whether it’s prioritizing safety in every mile, fostering innovation that moves the entire industry forward, or upholding the highest standards of integrity, we believe that sticking to our principles is what sets us apart. We use these values to grow our team, continually evaluating how they resonate with our people and how they guide us as we break new ground. Just like the technology we build, our values will continue to evolve as Kodiak matures, but our dedication to them remains constant. A strong foundation isn’t just about great technology – it’s about the people behind it.
