This project is a vital transportation link for Maryland, connecting the Baltimore-Washington metro area to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We were happy to spend time sharing project updates and processes happening on the Bay Bridge Eastbound Deck Replacement Project! 👏

In September our Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) held their annual retreat. During the retreat, they visited SW Michigan and NW Ohio Kokosing Industrial (KII) and Kokosing Construction Company (KCC) projects, visited the Ford Rogue facility to spark innovative thought and worked on developing an enhanced onboarding program! 🚧 See photos from the two KII projects: the Saline WWTP in Saline, MI and the GLWA West Service Center WWTP in Southfield, MI. For KCC, we visited two projects in Ohio, Glass City Riverwalk in Toledo and I-475 Interstate Reconstruction in Maumee. The projects are in different stages of construction, offering a perfect time for our ALP group to get exposure to how each project team operates and successfully overcomes challenges. Kokosing Industrial has been working in Lebanon, Indiana at the Lebanon Business Park! 📍 We have been busy installing eight new precast concrete structures, and a new lift station along with rehabilitating the original lift station. The lift stations will be updated with new electrical equipment and new pumps, two 100hp and two 50hp! 👷 With these updates, we will be adding two new sanitary force mains. These will effectively connect the new lift station, and the original lift station back to the main WWTP. The installation of a 12” 8,000LF sanitary force main and an 870LF sanitary force main extension are to support growth in the business park. Once complete, Lebanon Business Park will be able to handle the influx of utilities being used and the area will continue to benefit the industrial sector as it continues to rapidly grow! 👏 This project is set to wrap up at the end of the year. 🙂 #Kokosing #KokosingIndustrial #WWTP #LebanonIndiana

New Lock at the Soo Phase 2 complete! The Corps of Engineers awarded the $117 million contract in September 2020 to Kokosing - Alberici Constructors, of Westerville, Ohio. As of September 17, 2024, USACE’s Detroit Upstream Approach Walls project in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, substantially completed the Phase 2 (Upstream Approach Walls) contract. A total of 52 coffer cells were constructed, filled and capped with concrete to construct the upstream approach walls. A combined 4,800 linear feet of walls were rehabilitated, and 62,000 cubic yards of concrete were placed. These new upstream approach walls will serve as a guide to vessels as they enter the New Lock at the Soo currently under construction.
