𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the history of this important cause. Breast Cancer Awareness Month was first observed in 1985 as a joint initiative of the American Cancer Society and the American Institute for Cancer Research. The pink ribbon, now a universal symbol of breast cancer awareness, was introduced in 1991 by the Susan G. Komen Foundation. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁? Early detection and diagnosis are crucial in the fight against breast cancer. By raising awareness, we can encourage individuals to: • 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬: Be familiar with their breasts and report any changes to their doctor promptly. • 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬: Screenings can help detect breast cancer early when treatment is often most effective. • 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡: Donations to organizations for breast cancer research can help fund groundbreaking discoveries. Let’s work together to spread awareness, support those affected by breast cancer, and make a difference in the lives of countless individuals. #BreastCancerAwareness #PinkRibbon

This September, in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, we want to bring attention to the critical importance of mental health support for everyone – both civilians and veterans. Mental health challenges can impact anyone, and it’s essential to create a culture where we support one another through empathy, understanding, and action. Veterans, in particular, face unique challenges as they transition from military to civilian life, which can increase their risk of mental health struggles. By being attentive, listening without judgment, and sharing resources, we can all play a role in preventing suicide and ensuring no one feels alone in their fight. Let’s commit to raising awareness, encouraging open dialogue, and sharing life-saving resources. Together, we can make a difference. If you or someone you know is struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out for support: • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Dial 988 • Veterans Crisis Line: Dial 988, then press 1 #SuicidePreventionMonth #MentalHealthMatters
