The KU Memorial Unions hosted the Rita Ravens Alexander Leadership Retreat September 7-8, 2024 at the Heartland Retreat Center in partnership with KU Alumni Association! We hosted 32 participants and 8 facilitators during the retreat to enhance participants leadership skills and knowledge about KU. Everyone involved had a great time participating in Minute to Win It, colors test, case study investigations and presentations about campus involvement and Jayhawk spirit.🙌🏻 This retreat is in honor of Rita Ravens Alexander (1947-2022) who was an alumnus of The University of Kansas. During her time at KU, she was involved with Student Union Activities and the KU Memorial Unions. Later in her career she focused on volunteer management and rooting for her Jayhawks. To learn more about this program, email programs@ku.edu, and consider donating to Rita's fund "Alexander Student Volunteer Leadership" at union.ku.edu/giving.
