About us
At L&M, we are passionate about fresh produce and people. Rooted in a foundation of respect, passion, leadership, and excellence, we are a year-round grower and supplier of fresh fruits and vegetables. We like to say we are “Well Grounded”, and are proud of where our produce is grown, and the people who grow it. By operating farms from coast to coast, we pour our heart and soul into growing onions, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers, apples, cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, melons and more. Then, we carefully harvest, grade and package them and bring them to market, to ensure that across the world, people have the highest quality selection of fresh produce. Our commitment and expertise are from the ground up and over the entire supply chain, offering full range services, including farming, packing, logistics & sales. We love fresh produce and hold ourselves to the highest levels of integrity to grow it well. We want you to love fruits and vegetables just as much as we do!

Last month, Larry Corn, one of L&M’s amazing growers was awarded a prestigious award for his dedication and hard-work in agriculture. 👏🏻 Rooted in Legacy: Larry Corn's 60 Years of Agricultural Excellence in Putnam County Larry Corn has truly fulfilled his life’s calling as a farmer in Putnam County. He graduated from Palatka South High School in 1969 and has committed his entire career to establishing farmland and growing vegetables in Putnam County. He was awarded the “2024 Product of Putnam Award for Agriculture” by the Putnam County School District for his faithful contribution and he was recognized at the May 28, 2024 Board of County Commissioners' meeting. Larry has over 60 years of farming experience specializing in potato, cabbage, greens and broccoli production, but he has grown countless commodities over the years including corn, sweet potato, melon, squash, onions, greens, herbs, etc. He and his dad started farming 275 acres that quickly expanded to 900 acres in less than four years. They started sharecropping with Joe McGee who is the owner of L&M Farms in 1982. At 72, he is now the farm manager for approximately 2000 acres of cropland either owned or leased by L&M Farms in Northeast Florida. He continues to give back to his community by serving as a longtime board member of the Putnam County Soil & Water Conservation District, the Greenbelt Advisory Board for the Putnam County Property Appraisers Office and the UF/IFAS Overall Advisory Board for the Cooperative Extension Service. Larry has been an instrumental partner with the UF/IFAS Agriculture Extension office donating thousands of transplants for programing efforts and always accommodating youth education in agriculture. He recognizes the importance of investing in our youth to carry on the farming operations in Putnam County. He has embraced technological advances in agriculture and relies on drone technology, automated soil moisture sensors, variable rate spreaders, and advanced automation on the farm. Although he has always used cover crops, his success and incorporation of Sunn Hemp (legume) has significantly reduced pre-plant fertilizer use. Because of his continued support and dedication, Dr. Wendy Mussoline (Putnam County Agriculture Agent) nominated him for the 2024 Agriculturalist of the Year for the entire State of Florida and he will formally receive this prestigious award at the UF/IFAS Friends of Extension Banquet on August 27, 2024. According to Mussoline, Larry’s contribution to agriculture in Putnam County is unmatched and he truly leaves a legacy of dedication and experience for those that will continue to grow vegetables in Putnam County. #UFIFASExtension Join us in congratulating Larry on this prestigious award and achievement 👏🏻
