Witnessing the abuse animals suffer around the world is difficult. Instead of turning away, channel your passion into EFFECTIVE activism! We are more likely to be heard by decision makers and others when we focus on animals: what they deserve, the world we want them to live in, and our vision for a kinder future. Wishing harm on those found guilty of harming animals can cause others to tune us out or disregard our pro-animal message. Let’s reach more hearts through peaceful advocacy!

Last year, the number of #mink killed and sold for fur in the USA fell 28% from the year before, according to the USDA. Polls show that the majority of Americans support bans on #furfarms and/or the sale of fur. Fur bans have already been enacted in several cities and one state in the USA. More and more people are waking up to the reality that fur is cruel – and are demanding an end to the abuse! A #FURFREE future is possible.

3 Tips for practicing self-care when advocating for animals! 1. You are a better advocate for animals when you take care of yourself. Don’t forget to sleep, exercise, and prioritize your mental health. 2. When the suffering of animals is too overwhelming, take a break to hug your dog or cat or go on a walk… so you can come back refreshed and ready to speak up for animals! 3. Be mindful that wishing physical harm upon perpetrators of animal cruelty won’t help animals who have been hurt and can even harm your own mental health in the long run. It’s more sustainable to focus on the goal of creating a kinder future for all beings. How do YOU practice self care to stay motivated for animals? Let us know!

Have you ever felt deeply connected to an animal after gazing into their eyes? 🐕 A new study finds that when humans gaze into dogs’ eyes their brains may “synchronize” – or experience “neural coupling” the same way you would when listening to a friend’s story and visualizing what they are saying. The bond between dogs and people is incredible!

Do you pet your dog before leaving for the day? 🐕 Dogs who receive some comforting pets from their guardians before being left alone may have an easier time coping with the separation – according to a new study by researchers in Italy involving dogs who do not have separation anxiety.
