Our client services program supports OTHER agencies, reducing waste and increasing the efficiency of the entire network of homelessness service providers in King County. We’re installing a new Housing Assistance Point (HAP) at AURORA COMMONS, one of our largest referral partners. This means one day a week we’ll have a staff person at Aurora Commons to assist their clients in enrolling in King County’s Homeless Management Information System and Coordinated Entry for All. This partnership allows Lake City Partners to expand the capacity of Aurora Commons as we offer our expertise in navigating the complex system that is HMIS, and allows Aurora Commons to stay focused on what they do best. Aurora Commons offers us another dedicated place and dedicated time to work on enrollment services, a necessary component in HAP site selection. We go farther when we work together! For many of our community partners, this is a familiar space! The GLA Day Center is not only a home-like space where clients can do their laundry, have a cup of coffee (lots of coffee!), mail services and personal storage, but a host to the many, many community partners who work tirelessly to support people in accessing shelter, housing, healthcare and other basic needs. For 300-400 individuals who regularly share space with us each month, our GLA Day Center in conjunction with our partners is a thriving example of how a community can collaborate and combine service delivery to create meaningful impact and solutions. We are grateful to our many partners including but not limited to: Seattle University College of Nursing, University Heights Center, AURORA COMMONS, North Helpline, International Community Health Services, Hunger Intervention Program, and King County Regional Homelessness Authority.
