Did you know that beavers are small but mighty natural engineers that can greatly benefit conserved land? Beavers can produce numerous conservation benefits including improved water quality, creating wetland habitats for other species and increased floodwater storage capacity to help mitigate the effects of climate change. You're invited to join us for the upcoming short course, "Beavers — Natural Allies in Water Quality and Restoring Wetlands," Nov. 12-19, co-sponsored by Illinois Beaver Alliance. In four 75-minute sessions, experts will cover various methods and considerations for incorporating beavers into land trusts’ restoration activities and share real-world land trust examples to bring these concepts to life.

We are proud to support the introduction of the North American Grasslands Conservation Act in the U.S. House of Representatives by Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Sharice Davids (D-Kan.), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Penn.) and Mike Thompson (D-Calif.). Once passed, the legislation will be one of the most significant steps for grassland conservation efforts in the 21st century.
