  • 🚀 Introducing Founder Services at Landing Point! 🚀 Many startups have the vision. They have the funding. But they don't have the right people to bring it to life. The leap from securing Series A funding to assembling the right team is where many startups stumble because hiring isn’t just about resumes—it’s about finding resourceful, adaptable, game-changing talent that thrives in early-stage environments. That’s why we’re launching Founder Services, a dedicated division to help early-stage founders build world-class teams from the start. We're thrilled to have startup talent expert J. Patrick Gorman leading the charge, after spending 20+ years advising high-growth companies like Nubank, PayPal, and Uber on strategic hiring. • 📉 What's going on with the CPA shortage?   For the first time in decades, the number of CPAs in the U.S. has dropped, and 75% of active CPAs are over 50 and nearing retirement. Fewer students are pursuing accounting and fewer accountants are becoming CPAs.   The industry is responding! Landing Point Partner, Carlo Coumoutsos, CPA, breaks down the various moves made by state boards and public accounting firms alike, and what they mean for the future of accounting:   ✅ CPA exam completion window extended from 18 to 30 months. ✅ Some states are moving from 150 to 120 credit requirements. ✅ Public accounting firms are raising salaries to attract talent.   For anyone in (or considering) accounting—this is your moment. The demand has never been greater, and the path to certification is becoming more accessible! #Accounting #CPA #TalentShortage #Hiring #FinanceCareers #Recruiting

  • 👀 One trend we're seeing right now is that companies are looking for HR "utility players"—the HR pros who can wear multiple hats—now more than ever. Why? 1️⃣ They balance business needs with employee satisfaction 2️⃣ They’re cost-effective and adaptable 3️⃣ They can flex between tactical execution and strategic leadership So, if you're trying to advance in your HR career, how can you position yourself as the utility player companies need? 🔹 Adopt a generalist mindset—get exposure to recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, and strategy 🔹 Stay ahead of trends—network, attend events, and leverage data-driven insights 🔹 Be solution-oriented—bring proactive ideas (not just problems) to leadership 🔹 Build strong relationships—with employees, leadership, and peers 🔹 Say yes to projects outside your comfort zone—versatility is key! Our resident HR recruiting expert, Zoie (Herman) Teytelbaum, shares more insights in our latest video. Check it out! 👇 #HR #Careers #HiringTrends

Gen Z has been getting a lot of flak for their alleged workplace habits. Older generations assume these newer entrants to the workforce don’t see the value of in-person exchanges, but a new study shows the complete opposite of that theory. Harris Poll and global events company Freeman surveyed 1,824 U.S. adults with white-collar jobs, and 91% of respondents said they’d like a balance between remote and in-person work to connect with others in their company and industry. Or it might just simply be because Gen Z loves to yap (even though it may not be appropriate for traditional in-office etiquette). Either way, Gen Z is debunking the idea they despise in office work.  “Gen Z was born into a digital world that connected their lives from the start, so it’s easy to assume they prefer online worlds to the real one,” the Harris Poll/Freeman survey results read. “But did you know there’s more to the story?” | Fortune https://lnkd.in/eRgyPn98
