“All the decisions our family makes are with a generational lens, focused on ensuring our farm, our communities, and the agricultural way of life thrives. This partnership with Resurrection Brands is designed to help sustain our business. Building distribution and presence in key markets shapes our future for the next generation.” - Marissa Langehttps://lnkd.in/gTxj3dTs
Did ewe know that sheep graze in these vineyards all year round? 🐑🍇 While some wine estates bring in the “woolly weeders” for certain periods, such as after harvest or in the spring, the LangeTwins make a permanent home for this flock at their family-owned property in Lodi.
But how do they keep these enthusiast grazers from eating the grapes?
“A handful of blocks have a trellis system height at 65 inches on average which keeps the sheep from nibbling the fruit and only taking a small portion of the low hanging canopy. This allows the sheep to focus on summer weeds, particularly under-vine.”
Sustainable, “farm-first” initiatives such as year-round sheep grazing to keep weeds at bay is one of the reasons why the LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards won the California Green Medal Leader Award in 2024.
“For us, sustainability isn’t just a checkbox,” they say. “It’s our mission, a commitment to our land, community, and future generations.”

"First things first, let's talk about the aroma of ripe tropical fruits, like juicy pineapple and luscious mango. It's like taking a stroll through a fruit market." - Charlene PetersApple Newshttps://lnkd.in/gb4fa59b
We’re super excited to be starting up our San Joaquin SLEWS Program again! After many years of hiatus, support and investment from our friends at LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards enabled us to start up again two years ago. Now, with even more investment by USDA NRCS, we are able to move to full strength.
Please help us share this awesome opportunity far and wide!

We are thrilled to have our 2023 LangeTwins River Ranch Aglianico Rosé
featured in Forbes recent article of American Rosés for the Fourth of July!
"Darker-hued style of Rosé with this Italian native grape gives a deeper fruit profile of cranberry and sour cherry, the latter taking the lead in the taste profile. A structured wine that will go with whatever comes off the grill. Certified sustainable."
