Sebastian Matoušek (Gymnázium Matyáše Lercha) a Simon Klinga(Gymnázium Brno-Bystrc) představili své inovativní projekty prezidentům České republiky, Slovenska a Rakouska v rámci prezidentského summitu Slavkovského formátu #S3 na zámku ve Slavkově u Brna. 🙌👏 🥳 🤖 Sebastian, který získal finanční podporu v rámci projektu #SOČ https://sockari.cz , představil svého dvounohého robota Arnolda, se kterým uspěl na vědecké soutěži v Číně 🏆 . Kromě toho také získal ocenění České hlavičky a je příjemcem prestižního programu PPNS https://lnkd.in/eG44GpAq . 🛰️ Simon, rovněž příjemce #PPNS stipendia, představil projekt týmu LASAR, se kterým zvítězil v prestižní soutěži NASA Conrad Challenge 🏆. Another notable speaker was Simon Klinga, leader of the LASAR student team, who collaborated with HiLASE Centre on developing their cutting-edge satellite sent into orbit in December 2024. Launch Event at HiLASE Centre 🚀 Launching our very own satellite into space marked a great milestone for our project and a giant leap forward toward achieving our mission goals. To celebrate this moment, we hosted a festive event in Prague, bringing together our valued partners, supporters, and friends at the HiLASE Centre in Dolní Břežany. 🤝 The event was special, as it also served as the hub for the main part of our launch livestream. Moderators Anna Krebsová and Ondřej Heigl guided the audience through the experience, interviewing key representatives from our partner organizations and new team members. Meanwhile, part of our team was stationed at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, providing real-time updates from the launch site. 🇺🇸 We’re thrilled to announce that LASARsat successfully launched into low Earth orbit, deployed seamlessly from the Falcon 9 rocket, and began broadcasting without a hitch. 🎉 This remarkable journey, which unfolded throughout the past year, wouldn’t have been possible without your incredible support. LASARsat is in orbit! 🚀 The past weeks have been an incredible journey for us. On December 21st, the sun rose earlier than usual in California. At the Vandenberg Space Force Base, the Falcon 9 rocket launched the Bandwagon-2 mission into space—and we were there to witness it! 🛰️ Aboard the rocket was our very own satellite, LASARsat. After months of hard work in collaboration with our partners, it’s finally there—in orbit, 550 kilometers above the surface of the Earth! About an hour after launch, the satellite was successfully deployed from Exolaunch’s deployer. Shortly after, communication was established exactly as planned. 📡 While this marks the accomplishment of a significant milestone, we are just at the beginning of what we hope will be a highly successful mission. Right now, we are testing the instruments onboard LASARsat and continuing the development of LASARm, our robotic laser arm capable of precision laser beam pointing at the satellite. Alongside that, we aim to focus on popularization—motivating students and the public across our country (and beyond!) by sharing how exciting and inspiring space exploration can be. ✨ This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our partners. Pomozte nám mířit ještě výš! 🚀 V dubnu jsme uspěli s myšlenkou restartování a deorbitace družic na oběžné dráze v celosvětové konkurenci soutěže Conrad Challenge v Houstonu. Od té doby jsme však ušli již velký kus cesty. Náš tým se rozrostl z původních pěti na 35 členů. Snažíme se popularizovat kosmické aktivity a nejen nejmladší generaci ukazovat, jak úžasný vesmír je. Work in full swing! 👀 Last weekend, many of our team members gathered in Brno. Over three days at FabLab, we made significant progress on the tasks we’re tackling in these crucial weeks leading up to the launch of our very own satellite. 🛰️ On Saturday, we had a helpful talk with brand strategist Josef Káles, discussing the future of our brand and its promotion. Later, we focused on experiment proposals for Czech astronaut Aleš Svoboda mission to the International Space Station, created different models of LASARsat, took new team member photos, and much more. The upcoming weeks promise to be truly exciting—stay tuned! 🤯 And in the evenings, it was time for team building! We explored Brno’s city center and its beautiful Advent market. Vždycky se mi líbila dvě témata - dinosauři 🦕 a vesmír 🪐 . Je to takový „odezdikezdismus“ - takový to... buď se zahrabat nebo uletět 😃. Při tělocvicích, před tabulí při zkoušení z fyziky a po písemkách z matiky mi bylo jasné, že ze mě nebude raketový inženýr nebo astronaut 📐 🤦♂️ S paleolontologií to bylo nadějnější, ale nakonec jsem si vybral mimo jiné studium politických dinosaurů. Ale k věci. Vesmír mě nepustil. Sledoval jsem veliký úspěch studentů z LASAR 👈 btw musíte je rozhodně sledovat, stojí to za to! Jejich plány mi přijdou fascinující. Napsal jsem proto Simon Klinga a nabídl pomoc s tím, kde se cítím být teď doma já - strategie značky a branding. No a už to jelo. Pracujeme společně na tom, aby jejich značka a komunikace byla ještě výraznější. Věřím, že to bude skvělý! Sledujte je, ať vám nic neuknikne. Dělají fakt super věci.

Padá Hurvínek, něco si přej. Dnes v noci na obloze uvidíme “padající hvězdu.” Ve skutečnosti to ale bude padající družice Planetum-1, na jejíž palubě je i skleněná postavička Hurvínka. Skončí tak projekt, který jinde na světě nemá obdoby. Tento malý satelit, který vyslalo Planetum - Hvězdárna a planetárium hl. města Prahy, měl za úkol nejen provádět vědecké experimenty, ale také vědu popularizovat a přilákat ke kosmonautice a astronomii nové talenty. Mise satelitu byla splněna, i když trochu jinak, než si mohl kdokoliv představit. Družici totiž na oběžné dráze potkal komunikační problém. Jeho vyřešením jsme se pak začali zabývat my. Právě Hurvínkovi a jeho družici tedy vděčíme za to, že celý projekt LASAR vznikl. Naším původním cílem se stalo pomocí laserového paprsku restartovat družice s podobnými problémy. A s touto myšlenkou se nám podařilo ovládnout Conrad Challenge a dostat se tam, kde jsme teď! Vesmírný koráb Hurvínka už sice zachránit nestihneme, ale naši myšlenku si již brzy otestujeme díky vlastní družici LASARsat. Ta se tak stane částečně nástupcem této končící mise, bez které by náš tým vůbec nevznikl.
