As vital services for our most vulnerable populations face devastating cuts under the current administration, I remain dedicated to working together towards thriving and equitable communities. Like many others working with immigrant and refugee communities, my position has been impacted, and I am #OpenToWork. I am profoundly proud of the growth and milestones reached as the Office Director for CWS Charlotte alongside a brilliant team. A few career highlights: 🌟 Scaled up a team of 3 to 22 members and managed our programs supporting immigrant children. 🌟 Built relationships with nonprofit and government agencies and developed referral networks for clients 🌟 Launched an innovative English Language Program for newcomer children, securing funding for expansion, and our office developed a program for "aged-out" youth that filled critical service gaps in our community 🌟 Led budget preparation and management, starting in 2022 with a budget of $150K and oversaw a $3.1-million-dollar budget by 2025 🌟 Managed our outreach tools, including the website, email database, social media platforms, and speaking engagements. (WordPress, BombBomb, Campaign Monitor) 🌟 Led fundraising efforts, including campaigns, donor relations, and CRM management (Salesforce), increasing individual donations each year With experience spanning direct service to leadership roles, I bring expertise in organizational scaling, program development, and partnership building. As a LatinxEd Fellow (22') and nonprofit board member, I bring diverse perspectives to my community-centered work. I'm seeking full-time opportunities to leverage these skills to drive meaningful change in this world! (Take a peek at the 2024 Impact Report & shout out to the amazing CWS NC Development and Comms team ✨ for their support!)

"You’ll read online that the Forward Promise Fellowship is a space for the healers to HEAL. But the most difficult thing for me to learn during this experience was finding the courage to confront your healers —and more importantly, yourself. There’s an aggressive forgetting that happens when we, as healers, force ourselves to continue this work without participating in the healing we offer." Bryan M., Forward Promise Fellow (Cohort 3), reflects on his experiences at the Forward Promise Fellowship for Leaders retreats at forwardpromise.org/blog #Blog #Fellowship #ForwardPromiseFellows #LeadersOfColor #SelfCare #HealingTheHealers
