🚨 Demo Alert: Build custom AI playbooks directly inside Word with the new Law Insider Add-In. We’ve been building AI-powered contract review for over a year, starting with the SimpleDocs enterprise use case. Now we’ve brought that same power to Law Insider (you saw the news, right?!) — but we made it self-serve, fast, and ridiculously easy to use. This isn't built for Cravath or Google — it's for lean legal teams, solos, and startup GCs who want AI help without high costs or complexity. No white glove implementation. No high-touch support. Just $29/month and immediate value. 👀 Check out the video — I’ll show you how to create a custom playbook in less than a minute. 👉 Download link in the comments (if you're ready to build your own). #legaltech #contracts #AI #lawinsider #SimpleDocs #generativeAI #legalweek25 Electra Japonas

Exciting development in the LegalTech space: Law Insider and SimpleDocs have expanded their collaboration with a Microsoft Word-native tool - a powerful integration that leverages both companies' strengths. For those interested in contract automation trends, this tool creates "playbooks" - essentially customizable review frameworks that can be applied consistently across different types of agreements. It includes AI-powered drafting, review, and redlining capabilities directly in Microsoft Word. I learned about their solution to understand the implementation. The system reviews contracts in seconds and can flag issues based on predetermined rules - similar to other contract review tools, but with what appears to be deeper Microsoft Word integration. What truly sets this solution apart is Law Insider's market benchmarking capability, allowing you to compare clauses against real contract data. This extensive repository of real-world legal language gives the AI an incredible edge - allowing it to draw from professionally drafted clauses and provisions rather than limited training data. IMO, The game-changing aspect of the tool is the pricing approach. While most legal AI tools hit the market with crazy subscription fees, Law Insider offers a straightforward flat rate that doesn't require begging your finance team for approval. It's refreshing to see a LegalTech solution priced for real-world use. Anyone else interested in this? • 🚨 Slow contracts = slow deals. Let’s fix that. 🚨 Contracts should accelerate business—not stall it. Yet, inefficient workflows, endless redlining, and approval delays slow down deal cycles and impact revenue. On March 5 at 10 AM ET | 3 PM BST, join Electra Japonas and Preston Clark for a live discussion on how legal teams can reduce friction, speed up negotiations, and turn contracts into a revenue enabler. We’ll be covering: ✅ How legal & sales teams can align to close deals faster ✅ When standardization & AI actually improve efficiency (and when they don’t) ✅ Real-world strategies to streamline approvals & reduce redlines If contract bottlenecks are slowing down your business, this session is for you. 📅 Register now → https://lnkd.in/eXnjdGiE #contracts #legaltech #AI #contractmanagement

  • Why contract review tools fail: AI spots risks, but doesn’t tell you if they’re reasonable. Most AI contract review tools can: ✅ Flag non-standard clauses ✅ Highlight deviations from your playbook ✅ Identify risks But do they tell you if those risks actually matter? 🚩 AI might flag a liability cap as "non-standard"—but is it actually out of line with the market? 🚩 AI might highlight a termination clause as risky—but is it a real problem or just worded differently? 🚩 AI might compare a contract to your internal policies—but are those policies actually aligned with industry norms? The real problem? Contracts take too long because we lack standardization. If we all started from the same market-backed foundation, negotiations would be faster, fairer, and less about preference and more about principle. That’s why we built oneSaaS—the first truly standardized cloud services agreement, shaped by real market data. And this is just the start. Imagine a world where you never have to wonder if a clause is fair, balanced, or truly market again. 🔹 Start with the right foundation. Download oneSaaS and be part of the shift toward standardization. 📥 Get it here → https://lnkd.in/eQd8SyBt What’s the one clause you see over-negotiated in SaaS agreements? Drop it in the comments. 👇 #contractnegotiation #legaltech #standards

What a pleasure and privilege to speak and moderate at Future Contracts Miami. It was a great conference. A tremendous panel with Teresita Chavez Pedrosa, Kyle Pankratz, Aliza Muller, Jesimin Berman that shared valuable information, insights, and practical real-world experience on AI & Contracting; Evaluation, Selection, Implementation of AI offerings; and ongoing Operationalization and Improvements of AI utilization; and Scaling! Cannot emphasize enough on the many many valuable insights and learnings, from many real-deal people and companies that are actually "doing" vs "just talking".... applying learnings and making use/implementing many terrific takeaways on AI. All the panels were terrific but a particular shout out to Preston Clark on the Keynote and charting the course, and Jana Blount on how legal may best leverage Legal AI. Thanks and appreciation to Cosmonauts, Law Insider, and University of Miami School of Law for organizing and partnering. Thanks and appreciation to our sponsors SimpleDocs, Harvey, Spellbook. LexIQ (Techstars '24), and Legalverse Media

I had a great time this week as a panelist at Future Contracts Miami. If you haven’t had a chance to discussion technology, and particularly #artificialintelligence, with a room full of skeptical lawyers I highly suggest you give it a try. If you can convince just one of them that technology is their friend, consider it a win!! Ha ha. In all seriousness, this was a great opportunity to break down and unpack all of the very real issues and concerns that come along with the deluge of new technology now available to the legal profession. Knowing how to properly leverage these tools is absolutely critical - equally important is knowing what should, and must be, avoided. There is a lot of misinformation floating around, so the more we all communicate the better. A special thanks to Preston Clark and Electra Japonas for including me in the program. Thanks everyone for a GREAT two days at University of Miami School of Law!!

Could standardizing legal agreements such as NDAs and SaaS contracts help in-house legal departments be more efficient? That is the premise behind the development by Law Insider of the open source standards oneNDA and the just-released one SaaS. On the latest LawNext, we discuss whether standardized agreements could transform business contracting. I'm joined by Electra Japonas, the founder of oneNDA and chief legal officer at Law Insider, and Preston Clark, president of Law Insider. You now get the choice of listening to the audio podcast or watching us on YouTube. Find it all here at LawNext: https://lnkd.in/eTQgkDvs '
