Years ago I wrote an article about how legal services were being disrupted by technology. When I graduated law school, I saw it with my own eyes with Legal Zoom and its cannibalization of basic corporate filing work. The writing was on the wall for more sophisticated practices (including my own real estate finance practice). We had to make the sober choice to be disruptive or be disrupted. We started Lightning Docs, a legal tech SaaS solution that generates business purpose mortgage loan documents for private lenders that is now utilized by a majority of the private lending industry. Fast forward to today and the legal tech industry is still in its infancy but it is moving with a ferocity I have never seen before. I'm very excited to spend time with like minded peers discussing where legal tech is headed. If you're interested in Legal Document Technology this conference is a MUST attend.
