LCWAG’s 5th Annual Girl emPower Summit was a dream for a brighter future ✨ Thank you to everyone who made this amazing day possible, as we welcomed girls from across the region to participate in learning, networking and inspiration. Once again this year, more than 90% of attendees left feeling more confident about their future goals. This is the most important gauge of success, and we couldn’t do it alone. I had the privilege of attending the 5th Girl emPower Summit, hosted by the Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls with a small group of students. It was an incredible day of inspiring messages from girls and women in our community. The keynote speaker, Breana Turner, MPH, CHES delivered a powerful message grounded in P.U.S.H.—Preserve, Understand, Stay True to Yourself and Hustle. One of the highlights was hearing from a student panel, participants of the Youth Entrepreneur Academy, where four high school girls shared their experiences of starting small businesses and facing challenges head-on. The panel from Amazon Web Services was equally impactful, offering advice on navigating male-dominated fields like STEM by using your voice, identifying allies, and seeking internships to explore career paths. I hope to bring even more students next year and continue empowering the next generation of female leaders! #GirlEmpowerment #WomenInSTEM #YouthLeadership #Mentorship #GirlsInBusiness
