🌍 Honoring Indigenous Peoples' Day 🌍 As we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day today, we recognize the rich history, culture, and invaluable contributions of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians in the U.S., including in the workplace. However, the journey isn't without challenges. The unemployment rate among Indigenous people rose to 8.3% in August 2023, highlighting the need for stronger support systems. Many Native American employees still face workplace stereotypes and discrimination, with a third reporting such experiences in job searches and career growth. What Can We Do?  • Foster an inclusive environment by collaborating with tribal employment rights organizations and offering cultural sensitivity training.  • Embrace remote work opportunities, allowing Indigenous employees to thrive while staying connected to their communities.  • Practice inclusivity during recruitment, recognizing cultural differences and implementing equity-focused practices.
