Protecting vulnerable children in developing communities and communities in crisis while inspiring empowered leadership
About us
Too many children are suffering due to the effects of poverty, but the question a lot of us ask is, “How can I make a real difference?” Leaders2Give, made up of an all-volunteer Board, has one purpose — to protect vulnerable children in developing communities and communities in crisis while inspiring empowered leadership. You can feel confident knowing the maximum part of your contribution actually gets to those in need and feel good because you are making a tangible difference in the lives of children who really need it. Currently, Leaders2Give is building a home for vulnerable children in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We also partner with other community groups and non-profits to support their efforts of protecting vulnerable children. Well well well….as it turns out, not one but two dear friends of Leaders2Give are celebrating a birthday today Earlier I was delighted to wish Alex Araiza a happy birthday. Alex is the man whose team built the John Gullo Home for Children I’m also so excited to wish a happy birthday to our favourite artist, generous donor and friend Pedro Arnoldo Cruz Sunu and can’t wait to see his beautiful art hanging on the walls of the children’s home. Speaking of which we are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Soft Opening: John Gullo Home for Children on November 23rd Operations can’t start until we have raised all of the funds necessary to operate for a year however with construction completed we wanted to offer the community an opportunity to tour the facility, meet members of the Board, get your questions answered and help us celebrate this remarkable community project Hope to see you there !

With news that makes me feel bad blanketing my daily feed I feel like I can breath again when I read news that makes me feel good 😊 Seeing the children at New Creation Kids - Nueva Creaçion Niñas in their new school uniforms… Visiting the family we contributed to relocating and successfully assimilating from Syria into Canada at their home last week… Watching a video of the road being cut in order to connect the new children’s home in El Cardonal to the municipal water supply And this morning, seeing the load of groceries delivered this week by our dear friend and L2G accountant Charleen Fariselli is a whole lotta feel good news We love #feelgoodnews. As I watch my own daughter get ready to go back to school this week, I’m reminded how many kids simply aren’t fortunate enough. Whether it’s having an opportunity to shop for back to school clothes or to even just to get to go to school at all…. Im filled with gratitude to the many kind and generous people who have donated to ensure that the children of New Creation Kids - Nueva Creaçion Niñas do get to attend school and proudly arrive with their uniforms, backpacks and school books. A heartfelt thanks to our generous and compassionate donor community. You inspire me every day ! Thank you on behalf of our entire all volunteer Board of Directors for your generosity ❤️

With the 24 hour news cycle hammering bad news again and again and again if you are anything like me you are probably seeking inspiration Well today I feel incredibly inspired 7 pick up trucks 5 trailers 15 volunteers Under the leadership of the legendary Brian Andrews all rolling up to their sleeves to move the furniture for the John Gullo Home for Children out of storage and into this world class facility that will provide a temporary home for kids whose parents are experiencing a medical crisis. It takes a village and what an incredible village this is! Special thanks also to the good people at YachtAid Global for their consistent generosity and support I love you all.

Asking for money can be difficult and uncomfortable but that’s one of my responsibilities here at Leaders2Give. We’ve hosted private and public fundraiser parties at houses and restaurants, silent auctions, live auctions, events with live music, wine parties and more. We even recently surveyed our incredibly generous donor community and overwhelmingly we were told to “just ask” when it came to fundraising and so … humbly…im asking. Construction at the John Gullo Home for Children is coming to an end. We are now turning our focus to the funds needed for operations. To run the facility for a year we estimate it will cost around $105,000 USD $60k - staff $45k - cost of living (food, utilities, school etc) So …. I’m asking … for your help. Two generous donors have so far pledged a combined $35k. We need to get to a minimum of $105k to reach out goal - and I’m asking for your help. Please visit leaders2give.org (see comments below) or send me a DM and learn how easy it is to give and the various tax incentives too. Thank you as always for making the work that our all volunteer team does every day possible.
