Inspiring Regional Leadership
About us
A powerful force to bring positive energy to the region...that describes Leadership Middle Tennessee's 20-year legacy! As our world becomes smaller, working and growing together as a region becomes increasingly important. In 1999, responding to a need for a regional agenda, Leadership Middle Tennessee (LMT) launched as an outgrowth of Partnership 2000. Today, we have more than 430 alumni across Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties. Each year a class of about 35 established leaders is selected for the 10-month program that promotes regionalism, delves into the area's pressing issues and connects leaders across county lines to build lasting relationships and synergy. Involvement continues after graduation with alumni events including the Annual LMT Alumni Summit and reception, class commencement, annual celebration, class events, and more! LMT is led by a volunteer board and offices in Middle Tennessee State University's Jennings A. Jones College of Business. Our mission is to inspire community leaders to action by providing a forum for regional networking, collaboration, strategic thinking, and action learning. Utilizing our strengths to build a better future for Middle Tennessee!
