  • We live in a world where women aren't always encouraged to take on leadership roles or fully recognized for their contributions. Systemic barriers remain a major challenge, especially for women of color. In her op-ed, Sheryl Sandberg, founder of Lean In, dives into these issues and makes a powerful case. We highly recommend reading it: The Secret to a Strong Economy is Women https://lnkd.in/g23J7NvG Knowledge is power—understanding the facts is crucial. This is a critical moment for both America and its economy. #womenleaders

Strength, Solidarity, Sisterhood—these words still resonate with me as we approach International Women’s Day March 8, 2025. Over the past 10 years with Lean In, I've worked alongside women and allies nationwide to address workplace inequities. It's clear that staying the course in this effort is more critical than ever.  The 2024 Lean In and McKinsey & Company Women in the Workplace report reveals that while we've made progress, it will take nearly 50 years to achieve parity for all women in corporate America. Although more women, especially women of color, are moving into senior leadership roles, progress remains slow. At the current pace, it will take 22 years for white women to reach parity, and more than double that for women of color. (Source: Lean In & McKinsey Report https://lnkd.in/gYRDSYa8) The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is "Accelerate Action." It’s a call to speed up progress and take swift, decisive steps toward gender equality. The focus is on tackling the barriers and biases women face with urgency and energy. To truly make a difference, we must act now, push for change, and create lasting impact—because equality can’t wait.
