Legacy Healthcare Services’ parent company, Deaconess Associates, Inc, has generously donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund in support of employees affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Many of our employees, residing in North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina, experienced significant loss, including homes, vehicles, and property As they navigate this challenging time, our hearts and thoughts remain with them. Ahoy! Our Regional Operations Leadership team gathered for a two-day training and planning session at our corporate office in Raleigh. Mary Gessler is a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Morningside Place Memory Care, and she truly embodies the definition of "heart forward." Her genuine, caring, and selfless nature shines through in every interaction, touching the lives of our residents, their families, and the staff alike. Mary’s dedication to the well-being of others is evident in her unwavering presence and commitment. She goes above and beyond, consistently tailoring her workdays to meet the needs of her residents—whether that means coming in for extra treatments or participating in resident activities whenever she’s needed. Each treatment plan she creates is thoughtful, creative, and personalized to ensure it’s both meaningful and impactful for the resident. Beyond her role, Mary often donates personal items to both the facility and residents, and she takes time out of her personal life to find resources for those in need. Her generosity knows no bounds, and she does it all with humility. Mary puts her heart into everything she does, from her cooking to the way she cares for her team and residents.
