Our residents love our partnership with the University of Central Florida! Recently, they packed the auditorium for an educational presentation from Nichole Lighthall, Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Ph.D. Program in HFC Psychology at UCF.   Dr. Lighthall is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Human Factors and Cognitive program at the University of Central Florida. Before coming to the University of Central Florida, Dr. Lighthall worked as a postdoc in the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Duke University and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Duke Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development. The goal of her research is to develop a neural model of decision processing in human aging that can be used to identify age-related vulnerabilities and pathways to compensation. #GoKnights #SeniorLiving #SeniorLearning

⚠️Inclement Weather Update⚠️ We are monitoring Invest 97L, a potential tropical storm now located over eastern Cuba. The National Hurricane Center predicts this will develop into a named tropical storm over the next few days and enter Florida from the gulf coast side of the state. Wind and rain impact to our location could happen on Sunday. At this point there are no watches or warnings for our area and all residents are safe and secure. We will update this message and information as the situation changes.
