The Lehman College CIE team is a part of the CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative. The CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative is a new public-private initiative to accelerate CUNY’s ability to meet the below goals. It is designed to facilitate connections between industry and students and with long-term sustainability in mind. The CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative is driven by Mayor Adams and the bold goal of 80% of CUNY students who earn a bachelor’s degree being employed shortly after graduation. The initiative will begin with an initial $13 million city funds and over $3 million in private investments to expand internships, build an industry-college backbone, and boost career capacity with the objective of continuing and expanding these resources in the years to come. CIE makes it easier for businesses to connect with CUNY students and for students to connect with great sustainable careers.
