👷🏼♂️🏗️👷♀️ HOK's Atlanta team recently attended the groundbreaking of the new Georgia State University Research Tower. Located in downtown Atlanta, the 9-story facility will include state-of-the-art labs, modern classrooms and dynamic workspaces in support of groundbreaking discoveries and interdisciplinary partnerships. “This is more than just a physical space," said Georgia State President M. Brian Blake. "This building expands our capacity for discovery and learning both at Georgia State University and in the Atlanta area." 

Along the Charles River, a special gantry crane system is helping the Consigli team perform work on the Museum of Science's Blue Wing Expansion, including structural roof demolition for the future Public Science Common. Through its repetitive motion, this innovative solution enhances safety and minimizes disruption for the Museum and its visitors, allowing the adjacent exhibits and spaces to stay open and operational while construction progresses. The Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts, Colby College's largest academic project to date, serves as one of the most advanced performing arts facilities in New England, supporting the creativity and talent of both students and the local Waterville arts community. The project brings together Colby's music, cinema studies, theater and dance departments – each with their own complex and unique performance, M/E/P and acoustic needs – into one collaborative space. Delivered on an active, occupied campus, Consigli maintained constant communication and coordination with students and faculty throughout construction, earning Engineering News-Record New England's top project safety performance award.
