Year 2023 was for LeVanta Tech a year of reaching a significant milestone, as CEO, Kelly A. Echols unveiled our HALIA float-and-fly drone (FFD) prototype at the EUROPEAN ROTORS event in Madrid https://lnkd.in/dzJrCJPD. The drone's unique features include indefinite floating on the ocean with low detectability and power consumption, presenting new opportunities in sustainability. The dual-use technology's current focus is on defense applications due to heightened interest from the military. The company's engagement with the Office of Naval Research reflects its dedication to pushing FFD technology boundaries, and the upcoming HALIA alpha prototype testing phase marks an exciting chapter in LeVanta Tech's journey. We are actively seeking funding and collaborations, with discussions underway with industry leaders such as Standard Arrow and Airbus. #UAV #DroneTechnology #Innovation #AerospaceIndustry #TechnologyInnovation #Drones #AerospaceTech #FFD #DefenseIndustry #UAVDevelopment #FloatAndFly #FutureTech #SustainableTechnology #floatingoffshorewind #MilitaryInnovation #ResearchAndDevelopment #TechCollaboration #AviationNews #EmergingTech #IndustryLeaders #HoverFoil #VerticalFlight #BlueTech #EngineeringInnovation #FutureOfFlight #DroneTesting #Ocean #Monitoringsolutions #Monitoring

Revolutionary float-and-fly drones - unlimited on-station time coupled with high-speed flight
About us
LeVanta Tech is developing float-and-fly drones. "Float-and-fly" fills a gap in current technology. Aerial drones have limited endurance. Seaplane drones cannot land and takeoff in rough seas. Underwater and surface vessel drones are slow. "Float- and-fly" provides a persistent sea-air interface that can float indefinitely coupled with the ability to takeoff and fly at high speed on demand. The motors are off while floating, reducing energy consumption.

🚀 Reflecting on an Insightful Panel at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2024! 🌊 Yesterday at the AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International XPONENTIAL Show, I had the privilege to discuss the groundbreaking work of LeVanta Tech at the Multi Domain Uncrewed Systems Data Lifecycle Panel. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for an engaging session on April 23, 2024. It was an honor to share insights into our sea-launched aerial drones and their pivotal role in creating a persistent sea-air interface. The possibilities for enhancing maritime operations and environmental monitoring are truly exciting! A special thanks to Jason McKenna of The University of Southern Mississippi for moderating, and to my fellow panelists, Mike Flanigan of Seasats, Katharine Weathers of NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, and Tashfeen Solangi of the Naval Oceanographic Office. Your expertise and perspectives enriched our discussion immensely. As we continue to innovate at the intersection of technology and oceanic exploration, the conversations at #AUVSI2024 are invaluable. Looking forward to more collaborations that push the boundaries of uncrewed systems technology! Kelly A. The SBIR Roadshow was a great event. A lot of interest in our sea-launched aerial drone. Thanks to Joel Lawhead, PMP, GISP, Joseph Graben, Brian Cuevas, and the Gulf Blue team for making this happen for the cohort companies.
We don’t always leave the waterfront, but when we do it’s for funding! Project Manager, Joel Lawhead, PMP, GISP and USM’s Director of the Office of Innovation Management, Brian Cuevas led the Gulf Blue Navigator Cohort as they traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to attend the SBIR America’s Seed Fund Road Tour. Grants through SBIR help bring emerging technologies to market without forcing companies to give up equity, furthering advances in Blue Tech. #bluetech #blueeconomy #gulfblue #uncrewedsystems #msgulfcoast
