We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to speak with Lockheed Martin employees about recovery! Thank you Aleksandra Bembnista @gloriousrecoveryfound for being the champion of recovery. Here are some key takeaways from our discussion: 🔹 Recovery is an Asset: We highlighted how embracing recovery can enhance company culture and boost productivity. 🔹 Empowerment Through Recovery: We shared inspiring stories of individuals in recovery who are thriving in their careers and making a significant impact. 🔹 A Culture of Support: We discussed ways leadership can cultivate an environment that supports employees on their recovery journeys. We are honored to know Fred, and grateful he found a path to recovery. As we kick off September as National Recovery Month, we reflect on the courage to take the first step. In this book, Fred says, "I have begun to face an issue I’d been avoiding…Alcohol." He shares the difficult reality many families face when alcohol becomes a struggle. Addressing these challenges is crucial for healing, both individually and within families. Listen to John Hamilton's conversation with Fred on Recovery, family resiliency, and where to get help at https://lnkd.in/efHqHjR3 @trump_allinthefamily This month, let’s come together to shine a light on the struggle, and take stigma out of the shadows. By sharing our stories and supporting those in recovery, we can foster understanding and create a network of hope and resilience. Recovery is a path that requires courage and support—let’s be the community that helps pave the way. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health or substance use, is feeling overwhelmed or lonely, we are here. Liberation Programs offers resources, support, and a helpline at (800) 980-0990. #RecoveryAwarenessMonth #FacingChallenges #SupportRecovery #FamilyHealing #HopeAndHealing #RecoveryMonth #RecoveryIsPossible #EndtheStigma

Each International Overdose Awareness Day, individuals around the world courageously navigate the complexities of loss while honoring the memory of their departed loved ones. The mission to end the overdose crisis will take more than a day, as those of us who have been impacted well know. We hope you will join us in our commitment to spread awareness, share resources, and, most importantly, offer hope every day. Overdose is preventable, and with compassion, not judgment, we can help save lives. A part of this commitment is the expansion of our Stamford clinic, Pollak Place, and the retrofitting of our mobile outreach van. We are grateful for the support of the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation for these two projects through its Awareness Date Giving Initiative, in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day. Let's break the stigma and work together for a healthier, more compassionate world. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, substance use, is feeling overwhelmed or lonely, we are here. Liberation Programs offers resources, support, and a helpline at (800) 980-0990. Today, John Hamilton President and CEO, and Liz Evans, Senior Director of Harm Reduction at Liberation Programs had the honor of attending the International Opioid Overdose Awareness Day at the White House. Dita Bhargava, our esteemed Board Member, was invited to share her personal and powerful story about losing a child to an overdose. The message today was a call to action to do everything we can to save lives-- life-saving medication, increase access to care, improve prevention, expand treatment, and be kind and compassionate in this process. Connecting with our loved ones, our coworkers, and our community is how we will put an end to the opioid epidemic and save lives. Together, we can make a difference. On this Women’s Day, we honor the strength, resilience, and endless potential of women everywhere. At the Women’s REACH Program, funded by CT DMHAS, we’re dedicated to supporting pregnant and parenting women (as well as fathers, grandparents, and LGBTQIA+ individuals) impacted by substance use or co-occurring disorders. This day is a reminder of the vital role women play in our communities, and the Women’s REACH Program is here to ensure they have the support they need to thrive. Through personalized care and connections to essential resources, our Recovery Navigators are helping families rebuild and move forward.
