The power of partnership is so clear in this video. Life Science Cares Boston teamed up with Community Foundation for MetroWest's Equity in Education Action Project, providing math tutors from our life science corporate partners for a virtual after-school program designed to enhance mathematical skills and academic success for middle school students in Milford who were not currently performing at grade level. The results were so impressive that the program is continuing and expanding! Our very own Anna Dao, workforce and career pathways manager, is featured in the video. See and hear more about this collaboration and the positive impact it's having for students in the Greater Boston area: https://lnkd.in/eFW3nWQk. #TogetherWeCanDoMore

Throwing it back to our amazing Mini Golf for Good event last month. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, benefiting our 32 local nonprofit partners whose missions focus on basic needs, education, and/or economic opportunity. One of the coolest parts of this event is the mini golf holes, each of which is designed to reflect the nonprofit's mission or brand/logo. These pictures will give you an idea, but trust us when we say that these incredible designs have to be seen in person to truly appreciate the artistry that goes into them. (Thank you, Nick!) Join us at next year's event in September for a round of mini golf and see them up close! Stay tuned for more details. #ThrowbackThursday #MiniGolfForGood

It's been 10 years since the closure of the Long Island Bridge, and the impact is still felt by many. Our Executive Director, Sarah Porter, recently spoke with WBUR about what it was like to evacuate the island on that fateful day and the ongoing need for shelter and support. We’re honored to be part of this important conversation and thank WBUR's Lynn Jolicoeur and Lisa Mullins for shining a light on this critical issue. Our Toy & Gift Card Drive officially kicked off a couple weeks ago, and we need many more companies to sign up to meet our goal of 1,500 items. Let's put a smile on as many faces as possible this holiday season! You don't have to be a life sciences company to help out with this—any organization can contribute and support our nonprofit partners, including Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc., Julie's Family Learning Program, and West End House. Please reach out with questions and interest to anna@lifesciencecares.org or sign up directly: https://lnkd.in/eHsV8_Nk. Huge thanks to Addgene, Alkeus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Browne Consulting, Novo Nordisk, and Vigil Neuroscience for their commitments to help! #toydrive #holidayhelpers #lifesciencecaresboston

A belated congrats to our July Corporate Partner of the Month: Astria Therapeutics, Inc.! The team held their days of service at Community Servings in Jamaica Plain, where volunteers packed and prepared medically tailored, nutritious, scratch-made meals for chronically and critically ill individuals and families. Huge thanks for their work in supporting our nonprofit partners and friends, as well as Life Science Cares' mission!
