Yesterday, I enjoyed an inspiring day at Lift Orlando’s 2024 “Love is Local Summit” designed to equip and connect funders of place-based philanthropy and celebrate local achievements here in our Central Florida community. The meaningful and impactful work being done in the 32805 zip code in Orlando’s West Lakes community is truly transformative and will be felt for generations. What an experience. Leadership Orlando Class 106 was an eye opening, transformational journey to really knowing the Greater Orlando community and true partners to it’s growth. Graduation happened, and we are officially done. Thank you to Eddy Moratin for being our class chair. It is beyond exciting to see the impact you have made in the communities with Lift Orlando. We’ll see you on Thursday, October 17 at Camping World Stadium for a day of much-needed inspiration, powerful discussions, and community-driven change. We’re so grateful that many of our amazing speakers' schedules permitted the date change. If you’re in Orlando, caring and connected neighbors matter now more than ever. Many of our fellow Orlandoans are without power, assessing damages to their homes, cleaning up wreckage, or in need of a hot meal. Here’s what you can do: 🤳🏾Check on a neighbor and see how they’re doing. 🔌 Got power? Invite someone over who doesn’t. 🍲 Share a hot meal with someone. 👷🏽♀️ Help clear simple debris. If you can lend a helping hand, now’s the time. All it takes is reaching out to someone nearby. Let’s upLift one another. Love is Local.
