🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been shortlisted for the 2024 John Hays Entrepreneur of the Year Award at The Travel Industry Awards by TTG Media! Being recognised as an entrepreneur in my own right is an incredible honour, and I'm truly grateful for this opportunity to showcase the impact we're making at Limitless Travel. This prestigious award, established in tribute to John Hays, celebrates the true entrepreneurial spirit and recognises those who have disrupted the travel sector. It’s an honour to be in such esteemed company alongside the other finalists: Keith Herman, CEO and Founder of Trending Travel, who is revolutionising travel through social media and influencer-led engagement. Alexander Blunt & Marcus Blunt, co-founders of Heidi, who have transformed the ski holiday booking experience with their flexible, user-friendly platform. Cat Jones, CEO and Founder of Byway Travel, who is leading the way in sustainable, flight-free travel experiences. I’m particularly proud to be recognised not just for my work in championing accessibility, but for the entrepreneurial drive and innovation that’s at the heart of everything we do at Limitless Travel. The results will be revealed on 26 September 2024 at Magazine London, and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead! Thank you to everyone who has supported Limitless Travel and our mission to make travel accessible for all. Here’s to continuing to break down barriers and open up the world! 🌍✈️ We Are Limitless. #Entrepreneur #TravelIndustry #Innovation #Awards #JohnHaysAward #TTGAwards2024

Big news - we were featured in The Times! 🗞🎉 We were delighted to welcome aboard Times columnist Melanie Reid on our recent cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Having not travelled abroad for over a decade, Melanie describes how Limitless Travel lifted the “shackles of disability”. Melanie’s glowing review filled us with pride for what we do, perfectly encapsulating what our holidays mean to so many. Thank you, Melanie, for sharing your Limitless experience and helping us in our mission to revolutionise travel for people with disabilities. We hope to see you again soon! https://lnkd.in/eygDxGJH

Its incredibly disappointing and frustrating, but not at all surprising, to read this article on BBC News about student Bethany Handley who has had to use her student loan to buy a wheelchair as it wasn't covered on the NHS. The criteria for assessing disability needs is basic, dated and does not work. An individual's needs are complex, unique and cannot be understood through a one size fits all tick box exercise. Countless disabled people are missing out on vital support to live a basic life because of this. Already we have to incur considerable costs on a day to day basis to maintain our independence and "live a normal life". But to be denied access to the most essential of support to enable us to survive is outrageous and shocking. https://lnkd.in/eU-t8Rqb
