Gaston College hosted the Advanced Manufacturing students from the four Lincoln County High Schools yesterday. Students learned about the programs in Advanced Manufacturing and Apprenticeship 321.

The 21st Annual Forklift Rodeo took place in Lincoln County as part of Industry Appreciation Month. Sixteen drivers from companies across the county competed on a challenging course, with the winner determined by the fewest deductions and the best overall time. For the second year in a row, LeeBoy took home the title and earned bragging rights for the year! This exciting and highly anticipated event is proudly sponsored by the Industrial Manager’s Association of Lincoln County. Special appreciation is extended to VESCO Toyotalift for their sponsorship.

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, NCWorks Lincoln along with LEDA (Lincoln Economic Development Association) hosted our annual County Job Fair at the Lincolnton YMCA. We look forward to this event because we get to showcase some of the greatest employers to work for in our county. Also, employers got a chance to see and talk to jobseekers with various experiences and skills. There were 17 employers and training providers in attendance and well over 100 job seekers that came through to find their next career.
