Walmart - EVP of Store Operations

This back-to-school season marks one year since Walmart launched its sensory-friendly shopping hours. With such great feedback 🙌, we expanded sensory-friendly hours to 8-10am every day and some stores, have expanded it further. These first steps are important, but we know we can make our stores even more accessible for customers. That’s why we announced that we are rolling out Caroline’s Carts to all of our Walmart U.S. Stores. Nearly 8,000 carts 🛒 will help customers like Angie and Brooks have a normalized shopping experience. 🛍I had the honor of meeting them, Drew Ann Long , the Founder of Caroline’s Carts, as well as Frontend Services Associate, Sally Jacobs from West Palm Beach, Florida, who suggested we have the carts in our stores. Their stories are powerful and an amazing reminder that we can’t rest until Walmart is the BEST place to shop and the BEST place to work for everyone! #Caroline’sCarts #NationalDisabilityPrideMonth #YouBelong #TeamWalmart #OurAssociatesMaketheDifference #BeGreat #BeInItToWinIt

On Friday we celebrated new beginnings here at Active Concepts. We are so excited to unveil our newest building on the Active Concepts campus for our sister company, Active Innovation! Active Innovation is a vertically integrated platform for brand development in the personal care and cosmetic space. The facility itself is a beautiful 18,000 square foot building, providing a truly collaborative environment for our customers. The showroom is the centerpiece, with interactive workspaces where brand builders can see and experience for themselves ingredients, finished formulas, and packaging. We have a dual-station salon for testing haircare formulations, and an expansive laboratory for product development. The back half of the building is devoted to manufacturing and warehousing, which allows for complete batch and fill operations when customers are ready for production. It is the latest addition to the Active Concepts campus on Technology Drive, and the proximity to our other facilities is ideal for collaboration and access to existing resources. A huge thank you to LEDA for their support in planning the ribbon-cutting event and Mayor Ed Hatley for joining us. We also had support from local businesses including Fausto, Bakery Bliss, Marilyn’s Sweet Addictions, and Sugar Dot’s.
