Linfox is proud to partner with Coles Group to welcome this Volvo FH electric prime mover to its transport network.   Mark Mazurek, Linfox CEO Australia and New Zealand said “This is a significant and exciting milestone in Linfox and Coles ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprints and create a more sustainable future. Coles Group has become Australia's first retailer to welcome an electric prime mover truck to our transportation network, with the heavy-duty vehicle now delivering groceries to hundreds of stores across Victoria. In partnership with Linfox, the electric vehicle (EV) will save more than 65 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year compared to a regular diesel-powered prime mover, which is the equivalent of removing 15 cars from the road.   The Volvo FH can travel up to 300km on a single charge and is expected to make up to 25 deliveries from the Coles Laverton Distribution Centre each week to stores across Victoria, saving approximately 25,000 litres of fuel every year. In addition to the fuel and emission reductions, the EV is quieter to run, reducing noise pollution during store deliveries and for customers in residential areas, and requires no idling, eliminating further emissions and fuel consumption. With cyber threats evolving rapidly, we’re raising awareness about four simple actions people can take to safeguard information: 1. Activate multifactor authentication 2. Apply updates to software 3. Avoid password reuse 4. Ask yourself “could this be a phishing email?” Linfox is committed to making sure we have the most robust systems in place to quickly recognise and respond to any potential threats.

Linfox President, Corporate Services Doug Fryer APM GAICD joined government and industry leaders across the country at the 2024 National Preparedness Summit in Canberra, which aims to improve Australia’s preparedness, response and recovery to natural disasters and catastrophic events. With a panel of other industry leaders, Doug shared Linfox expertise and experience as part of a dedicated discussion about the role the private sector plays during crisis and natural disasters. These insights serve as a timely reminder ahead of the higher risk weather season between October and April when bushfires, heatwaves, flooding, and tropical cyclones are more likely.    Doug said: “Linfox safety standards, expertise, relationships, network and infrastructure allow us to respond and find solutions quickly. Innovation, insights and wisdom were shared as the 2023 and 2024 Graduate Cohorts reconnected last week for the Linfox Graduate Conference.   The conference is a testament to Linfox’s investment and focus on growing our own, with deliberate practice activities developing skills from the ground up. The graduate conference explored foundational leadership skills, such as how to have crucial conversations and the importance of wellbeing.   Omar Elfawal said “Participating in this leadership conference enhanced my perspective on what it means to lead effectively in today’s dynamic workplace. A key insight that stood out for me was the pivotal role of communication; how tone, body language, and authenticity influence every interaction. As leaders, we have the ability to create an environment of trust, integrity, and collaboration, where we inspire those around us to bring out their best and contribute to our shared success.”   Find out more about Linfox’s graduate program https://lnkd.in/eyismSJM   Apply now for our 2026 graduate program. https://lnkd.in/gxZi4T2A
