Meet David Sánchez Romero, our Senior Scientist from Spain, who’s bringing some serious science (and a lot of fun) to Liquid Trees! With a Bachelor's in Molecular Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona, a Master’s in Sustainable Biotechnology from Aalborg University in Copenhagen, and an internship at Stanford University under his belt, David is now leading our mission to restore lakes in India. Why? Because he’s passionate about: 1. Sequestering carbon and cleaning the environment 2. Raising climate change awareness 3. Empowering local communities to protect biodiversity Be like David. Join Liquid Trees and make a difference!! #LakeRestoration #ClimateAction #DCR #Microalgae #CarbonSequestration #JoinTheMission #LiquidTrees
About us
Say hello to Diatoms. Microscopic plants called Diatoms absorb 10-20 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) every year. That's equal to the amount of carbon captured annually by all of the world's rainforests. Diatoms are considered the largest primary producers of oxygen on our planet. It is estimated that through photosynthesis, diatoms produce between 20% and 40% of the oxygen we breathe. With the campaign "Keeping the Planet cool with Diatoms" we are trying to raise awareness about Diatom potential in CO2 removal. We are in the process of removing 10GtCO2 by accelerating the growth of native diatoms in polluted open water systems.

Nature’s comeback story began with Jayesh Patil, a scientist on a mission. He tackled a lake that was heavily polluted and nearly lifeless. He deploys his microalgae expertise to clean the lakes. His work proved that with the right approach, we can help nature recover and look forward to a cooler tomorrow! #climatechange #globalwarming #SDGs #lakerestoration #sustainablefuture

No one cares more about the environment than those directly affected by it. During one of our lake restoration efforts, locals took the initiative to volunteer and remove trash themselves. They were neither paid nor requested but they did it because they wanted to contribute! This in combination with our microalgae remediation technology shows significant promise in restoring lakes to it's natural state. Their dedication and action inspire us all to take ownership towards solving community problems.
