As I pass my two year mark with Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), I continue to feel fortunate to have landed here. It's amazing to be connected to and learn from 37 other local offices, multiple departments with wicked smart subject area experts from across the country, and help bring resources to our community that wouldn't otherwise be here. Our community is so resilient and full of driven individuals and organizations, yet there are systems at play that do not work for all. It's rewarding to work alongside powerful partners to help one another and the neighbors we serve to increase opportunities and access. Everyday is different and challenging as I manage change and my own expectations. It's exciting, wonky, frustrating, thought provoking work.The office is moving in new ways to fill gaps in our community around access to capital, grants, and building the capacity of partners. The team is ready for a new standard, to showcase what is possible, to drive development to another level...we have just the spot for someone who wants to push boundaries to make room for great impact.
