Tricia learned about the Scientific Method with instructor Deborah Howells. They did an experiment to show how different seeds are dispersed. Tricia has been studying for her GED credential with Literacy Pittsburgh's Beaver site. Deborah says, "Tricia is a really hard worker. We are trying to make Science make sense so she can pass that next big milestone."

Chris had only been in the US for 4 months when he started taking classes at Literacy Pittsburgh, he was connected with the PA CareerLink® site, where he was assisted in registering for the PIT2Work program. After completing the program, he would be starting work with the Carpenter’s Union as an apprentice. Congrats, Chris!
