Our latest unit remodel project has revealed why the floors in the unit are so uneven: At one point, the building was framed very differently, and previous remodelers did a poor job tying the floors together. The second picture shows just how BAD that unevenness was! Resolving that will be part of our work transforming this unit! #attainablehousing #ypsi #renovations #subfloor

New unit remodel project underway!! Take a look at these "BEFORE" photos to see how we have our work seriously cut out for us! This unit has many structural and aesthetic problems that we're going to fix — from wildly uneven flooring to terrible old carpet to a kitchen that needs to be completely reconfigured. Demo of the unit began this week, and over the next 8 or so weeks we'll be transforming it into a high-amenity, attainably elegant unit with custom closets, gourmet kitchen, and more, while also respecting the original details that give this unit charm and character, like the striking woodwork. Stay tuned!

In 2018, Rich Muszynski saw potential in a long-abandoned building in downtown Ypsi. He bought the building and over the next four years transformed it into a restaurant that is now an Ypsi staple. In our new episode of "Around Ypsi," we look at this incredible story of building stewardship. Check it out! And follow Yarrow for more stories of the People Powering Ypsi! #historicbuildings #renovation #smallbusiness #buildingstewardship

Very cool to see Ypsilanti ranked as the number 5 college town in the country by Zillow recently! https://lnkd.in/g896nTwD
Zillow’s list of best college towns in the U.S. lists Ypsilanti as No. 5 – no surprise to students and employees at Eastern Michigan University

Home ownership feels like an impossible dream for too many people these days. But projects like Dorsey Estates by Renovare Development are helping to make that dream achievable. Of the 46 townhomes, duplexes and cottages that will comprise Dorsey Estates, half will be "permanently" affordable, meaning they're deed restricted in perpetuity as affordable, calculated based on area median income (here's the recorded agreement: https://lnkd.in/etCtqPcB) Interested Ypsi residents have a chance to meet with the Renovare team on either 8/24 or 8/27. But we think this development project is a great case study for surrounding communities as well, offering an inspiring example of impact-driven development. Celebrating the start of a new week with this extremely generous testimonial from the work we did with Dylan Cinti and the team at Yarrow! 🎉 “[The Quiggs] are supremely gifted storytellers and great collaborators. I partnered with them on an animated explainer video for my company Yarrow's brand launch, and couldn't have been happier with their process and of course the results. What sets the Quiggs apart isn't just their talent and attention to detail — it's how closely they listen. They took the time to understand fully from me how I wanted my brand expressed, my brand's messaging/values, and how I thought that could come across visually. I cannot recommend them more highly!” — Dylan Cinti, Co-Founder of Yarrow

We're excited to share some photos from a recently completed landscaping project at our N Congress 4plex a few steps from downtown Ypsi! Our goal was to create an outdoor space for our tenants that feels peaceful and private while also serving as an inviting space for family and friends. We're happy with the result! Onto the next project! #attainablehousing #landscaping #plants #michiganrealestate
