Labor Day celebrates the rights of workers. Ironically, people still work on Labor Day. Sometimes that work isn't happening at the workplace. Millions of working Americans are also caregivers. Caregiving stretches across the age spectrum from babies to older adults. And caregivers have less resources now to help with care. On this Labor Day, I also want to recognize the workers who may have the day off from work (or not) and still work hard at home as caregivers.
