How can AI and digital tools help the DOE Office of Environmental Management? L&A President Martin Schneider had the opportunity to weigh in last week at a discussion hosted by the House Nuclear Cleanup Caucus. He was joined by Helena Fu, Director of the DOE Office of Critical and Emerging Technologies; Ken Rueter, President and CEO of Oak Ridge cleanup contractor UCOR and new Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG) Vice Chair Mark Whitney. We appreciate the leadership of Caucus co-Chairs Reps. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) and Susie Lee (D-NV). Thank you ETEBA: The Energy, Technology and Environmental Business Association; EFCOG and Nuclear Energy Institute for sponsoring the event! If you have thoughts on what digital transformation may mean for EM, let us know. We're looking forward to the next House Cleanup Caucus event in September.

Our 2024 interns (from left) Elena Swenson, Joshua Carson and Austin Mason recently had the opportunity to help renew L&A's support for the Savannah River Site Museum. The museum works to educate people on the important role the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS) played during the Cold War. We're proud to support DOE's activities at SRS and the Savannah River National Laboratory. You can learn more about what we do at SRS, and at DOE sites across the country, at www.la-inc.com!
