It's great to see the LCCPS Afro-Caribbean Percussion Ensemble in The Lowell Sun today! Students were proud to perform at the annual ceremony for the Living the Dream Partners Award Jan. 15, 2024 at Taffeta in Lowell on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Our #LCCPSLeaders performed "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and others. Thank you to Mr. Randal Orie, our Performing Arts Director, for your arts and community leadership in creating these opportunities for our young artists to perform and share their talents with the city of Lowell! https://lnkd.in/e_3hWSSB #LCCPSLeaders #EdThatAddsUp Leadership - Excellence - Achievement - Diversity www.lccps.org

How amazing is this artwork featured on the walls of the Unified Arts wing of LCCPS? So amazing, in fact, that we are proud to share that it was selected to be showcased at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's new office in Everett! These pieces were selected because they illustrate the theme “The Joy of Learning.” Created collaboratively, they show the vibrancy of our school and the power of the arts to inspire. Congratulations to our LCCPS artists and art teachers Mr. Giacobbe and Mrs. Oruc. Credit also goes to our friend Henry Marte for taking these photos and ensuring that we can always share the beauty of our school with the community! Would you like to come see it in person? Let us know, and we'd love to show you around our art studios! #LCCPSLeaders #EdThatAddsUp Leadership - Excellence - Achievement - Diversity www.lccps.org

SUCCESS! Thank you to our amazing friends - from Lowell and beyond - who generously supported LCCPS this week by making a donation to our #GivingTuesday Campaign! With your support we will have a 20/20 Onsite Mobile Vision Center visit our school this winter and provide eye exams and eye glasses to students in need. Your support makes all the difference as our learners become leaders in the community and in their own lives. Thank you! www.lccps.org

Thank you to everyone who has already helped on #GivingTuesday. Your contributions will go directly to work with eye exams and glasses for 30+ of our most in-need students. For some of our students, a new pair of glasses is the only thing holding them back from improving their reading and math scores. Thank you for helping them learn! www.lccps.org Gifts made today will be matched by the Wetmore-Robert Family: "Pairing two organizations that do amazing work for our community - the 20/20 Vision Project with LCCPS - has been a wonderful opportunity to focus on what's important: giving our students what they need to succeed. My family and I are honored to take part in Giving Tuesday and ask you to give what you can to this Match challenge so we can help LCCPS students see their bright futures more clearly." - The Wetmore-Robert Family (Johanna, Chris, and Calliope)

Today is #GivingTuesday and with your support we will provide an on-site eye care clinic for in need students. They'll receive a pair of eye glasses to help them learn. Give today and designate your gift to the Eye care/Eye glasses program so we can count you in, and make sure your gift is matched by the The Wetmore-Robert Family! www.lccps.org
