While we love our projects for scientific clients, working on an pure interior design project allows us to stretch other creative muscles. Let me share a slide show of one of our most colorful projects. The complete renovation of offices for the National Institute of Nursing Research located on the NIH Bethesda Campus. Thanks to Roger Watson and YIDNE GESESE for their efforts on this project.

We would like to welcome Farnaz Tajaddini to the LSY Team! Originally from Iran, Farnaz earned her bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from the University of Qavin and her Master of Architecture from the University of Tehran. She in now working to complete her NCARB certification and the AREs. When not working in architecture, she loves pilates and considers herself a bit of a foodie.

What is the first thing that you do when your client comes and asks you to determine why their underground building is leaking? You dig! Putting eyes on the structure and the existing waterproofing is extremely important. Thanks to Giwon Lee, Xuan Liu and Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) for leading this effort.

William was born in New Haven, CT, and moved to Maryland to attend the University of Maryland, where he graduated with a BS in Architecture. With over 5 years of experience as an architectural and project designer, he has worked on various projects, including K-8 schools, higher education facilities, country clubs, and police stations. He is thrilled to be part of the LSY team and is focused on achieving licensure. He plans to take the first ARE exam later this fall. Outside work, he enjoys sports, particularly basketball and football (Go Patriots!), and exploring music, movies, and traveling. We are excited for him to join and contribute to the LSY team!
