📢 Exciting news at LTA Research 📢 We are thrilled to announce and welcome Brett Crozier as the new CEO at LTA Research. Brett is a retired U.S. Navy Captain, an experienced combat pilot, and an aviation enthusiast. His distinguished 30-year military career included significant leadership roles in aviation and operations, experience that he brings to building and manufacturing the Pathfinder airship series and continuing the complex flight testing process. After founding LTA Research more than a decade ago and guiding the development and production of next-generation airships, Alan Weston is stepping away from daily operations and will continue to serve LTA in an advisory capacity, focused on science and strategy. Alan’s vision and passion have been critical to LTA and our team’s efforts to design, build, test, and fly the most innovative airship in nearly 100 years.  Please join us in thanking Al and welcoming Brett to the team!

This morning, Pathfinder 1 reached another milestone: untethered outdoor flight. Our operations crew and flight test team accompanied the airship out onto the runway and after all safety checks were complete, the crew looked on as Pathfinder 1 left the ground. This successful test marks another important step in our journey and we are excited to build on this achievement through our rigorous testing program. #Airships #Innovation #Aviation #LTAResearch #FlightTest

To ensure we don’t disturb their burrows, we remain on paved surfaces at all times and have proactively conducted surveys with NASA Ames Research Center and local biologist contractor H. T. Harvey & Associates to map out their nesting sites, and even invite biologists to join us during operations.
