We are proud to have amazing nurses like Arianna Graziadei, whose compassion knows no bounds. When a patient was admitted for treatment at the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center, Arianna recognized the name immediately. It turns out, ten years ago, she adopted the couple’s beloved cat during a previous hospital visit. Determined to reunite them, Arianna received special permission to bring the cat to the patient’s room. The moment Papa Bear saw them, he jumped onto their lap, purring and wagging his tail. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they shared this emotional reunion. Thank you Arianna for embodying our R.I.S.E. values and going above and beyond to bring joy to our patients and our community.

Our Heart Surgery Team at LHAAMC recently completed their 400th open heart surgery since the program began in late 2020. We are honored to provide high-quality cardiovascular care right here in the community. In addition to open heart surgery, we also offer TAVR, a minimally invasive valve replacement procedure that treats aortic stenosis. Learn more about our program at https://lnkd.in/gRHPg2Fb

We offer two one-year administrative fellowships for the 2024-2025 academic year. This fellowship includes strong involvement with our executive leadership team as well as our hospitals' management teams. Fellows will take part in hands-on projects that develop an understanding of health system operations and its strategic direction. Applications are accepted through NAFCAS until September 27, 2024. Our most recent Lean Six Sigma Green Belt cohort graduated at the end of June. This group of Luminaries will be taking on projects to streamline some of Luminis Health’s strategic processes. We partnered with Coca-Cola Consolidated to give back to our communities. Coca-Cola Consolidated donated hygiene products that we packed into 500 kits with the help of Calvert County Baptist Church and United Communities Against Poverty, Inc.(UCAPPGC), who will distribute the hygiene kits. Thank you to Delegate Kym Taylor and several other staff representatives of elected officials for your help. We believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and we are pleased to have other community groups, as well as elected officials, join us in this endeavor.
